Be sure you know the correct sales tax rate for your area before beginning the following instructions.

MICROS 3700 1. Double click the POS Configuration icon and enter your password 2. Click on Sales tab (should be default). 3. Click Tax Rate button 4. Find the Percentage box and enter the new tax percentage. 5. Click green check mark and close Configurator. |
| MICROS E7 1. Sign in as a manager. 2. Touch the Configurator button. 3. Using the drop down in the upper left, find and touch the Tax Rates choice. 4. Put in the appropriate tax rate in the Percentage field. Make sure you edit this filed for all tax rates listed in the list on the left of the screen. 5. Touch the floppy disk icon to save your changes. |
| MICROS 8700 1. Double click the “System Configuration” icon and enter your MICROS password. 2. Click on the “Tax Table” button. 3. Change the tax percent to your new rate. 4. Click the File drop down menu, then Save/Exit. |
| MICROS 2400 & 2700 1. Enter System Configuration. 2. Select the System menu choice. 3. Select the System menu choice again. 4. Select the Overhead menu choice. 5. Select the Tax menu choice 6. Select the Tax Table menu choice 7. Select the Edit menu choice 8. Touch Enter 9. Move the cursor to Tax Rate 10. Enter new tax percentage, touch Enter 11. Hold down Shift and 00 Keys to save (on a keyboard), or touch Save (on a touch screen) 12. Touch Clear once. 13. Select Broadcast menu choice and touch 2 for Yes. 14. Touch Clear several times to exit Configurator.

| MICROS 1700 1. Turn key to the right. 2. Press Enter key for program mode. 3. Enter 05 (Setup) 4. Enter 00 (the address of the tax rate data) 5. Enter the first two digits of the tax rate that are before the decimal point (for 8.55% enter 08) 6. Enter the second two digits of the tax rate that are after the decimal point (for 8.55 % enter 55) 7. Press Clear key |
